Weight, What?
“I’ve taken up exercise again!” That’s what I tend to say every three months or so, and it usually remains true for a week or two at most. I’m proud to say that this is now the start of week #3 of my new routine, and my no-one-will-ever-love-me handles are well on their way out of my life. It’s still a pain getting out of bed every morning to hop on the...

Nothing says, “I love you,” like $40 worth of popcorn you bought yourself for Valentine’s Day under the name “Barack Obama” even though you can’t afford it but for some crazy reason think you deserve it.
I guess the people at Popcornopolis were overcome by jealousy when they saw that the POTUS was trying to woo me and chose to omit his name from my message.

LOL, Universe. LOL.
As big of a misanthrope as I am, I still really wish screenwriting competitions allowed me to pitch my stories in person.
Sure, I get a space for a brief logline and get to click on the “Comedy” option under some genre dropbox, but the problem with that is that my script falls into a very distinct form of comedy, and I can only use the words “quirky” and...

I Dream Big
This has been a month of revisions. I have a much easier time with revising than I do with actual writing, so I have had more time to catch up on my ever so important television watching. If you’ve been following my Twitter account, you know that my current obsession is Breaking Bad. (Yes, I know I’m late to the party. Deal with it, yo.) I’m toward the end of the third season...

Don't be a little punk, 2012.
While 2011 wasn’t my best year, it wasn’t what I would call a throwaway year, either. I learned so much more about my craft and myself. Growth is good, and I enjoyed almost every bit of it.
This brings me to you, 2012. While I appreciate moving forward intellectually, another year of that alone won’t do. I don’t expect opportunities to just drop out of the sky (Unless...

Girl, that lipstick. So good. I love red lipstick.
Same, same, same. How I lived without it the first nineteen years of my life, I haven’t a clue. I’m obsessed. I’m actually running out from using it so much. Lately I’ve been playing a game of “Will it or will it not...

'Tis the Season to be Whatever - An Update
I’ve been sick for over a week, and I’m tired in every sense of the word. It’s depressing how worn out I look. I’d post a picture of myself, but it’s too depressing for the internet. That’s right; that place full of suicide-note-styled-vlogs isn’t capable of handling my ill face. Just take my word for it.
That TV script I was working on is finished....

Treat Yo Self
So the first year without Oprah’s Favorite Things is here. [Pause for tears.] While I know that I’m no queen of daytime talk, I’d like to share a few of my own current favorite things with you all that I think you may enjoy having in your life. (Before you get too excited, remember that making up stories for a living is not the most financially lucrative decision. Nothing will be...

Why can’t I just be Annie Clark?
Seriously. It’s not fair.

THIS a thousand times.
Ugh, what I would give to have her score a film of mine…

Lying is the most fun, etc.
“All characters appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.”
I see this all the time watching films. It’s supposed to be a disclaimer to keep from getting into any sort of legal trouble, but I’m pretty sure filmmakers are glad it exists for another reason.
I can’t have people who know me well...

Telling someone you love them when you don’t mean it or holding back “I love you” when you do.
Cheesy-uncharacteristic-and-irrelevant-to-my-life things to ponder.

Hmm. The way I see it, if you say it when you don’t, the other person gets hurt. When you hold back, you’re the one that has to endure the internal pain that comes with that. I guess...

It's a post about nothing!
It’s been a while since my last text post, and I haven’t posted much of anything else lately— Not because I’ve been neglecting Tumblr, but because I really don’t have much to say right now and don’t feel satisfied saturating my blog with a bunch of reblogs. (I’m not saying that the quality of a blog depends on the number of words, but my speaking nonsense...

You always knew I was dumb as a board and you still loved me lol you didn't just roll your eyes and judge me for my blonde thoughts. haha I KNOW you're gonna do...
michaeldealba asked: This will probably be weird of me to ask, but I've been reading your screenwriting-related blogs today. Awesome stuff. So anyway, who are your influences when it comes to your writing style?

On Embracing the Unorthodox
My junior year of high school, I had an assignment that required me to take an online career test. The following were my potential career results:
Comedian
DJ
Sign Maker
I didn’t know the last one was even a thing.
Now, these results didn’t really mean anything to me because I had known long before then that I was meant to dedicate myself to screenwriting. What made me feel a bit...

That’s the name of my latest atrocity, an absurd dark comedy television pilot. I’ve completed the first act, and in my humble opinion, it isn’t too shabby. It’s not the most politically correct show, but I do give a shout out to Mr. Ryan Perfect Gosling’s perfect perfection, so everyone should just forgive me and overlook my writing and ethical flaws, okay? Okay.

Irrational Fears AKA Why I Can't Function in Life
